Corporate mobility deal that saved $396,000

As a pure technology consultancy, we renegotiated a client's corporate mobile fleet of nearly 300 lines onto a better national plan, for $396,000 in savings over the three-year term.

The problem

The client carried a corporate mobile fleet of close to 300 phone lines, plus tablets and data devices, spread across several carriers on aging contracts. The plans were overpriced for what the business actually used, and no one had renegotiated the deal in years.

What we did

As a pure technology consultancy, we modelled the real usage across the whole fleet and negotiated a new national carrier agreement that fit how the business actually worked. We secured account, porting, and hardware credits, cut the monthly bill by a third, covered the cost of exiting the old contracts, and moved everyone onto a single modern network with coast-to-coast coverage. The savings came to $396,000 over the three-year term. This was pre-AI work in the way we have always operated, straightforward technology and hard negotiation delivered to the client's doorstep for the best value for their money.

This project is described by what it does, not by who it was for. We do not name the client or the carriers, and we do not share private details.

This is another of our earlier consultancy engagements. The client’s mobile costs had crept up over years of unmanaged contracts across several carriers, so we treated it the way we treat any spend: understand exactly what the business uses, then negotiate hard for the best value.

We assessed a fleet of close to 300 lines, tablets, and data devices, modelled the real usage, and negotiated a new national agreement that cut the monthly bill by a third and brought account, porting, and hardware credits with it. After covering the cost of leaving the old contracts, the savings came to $396,000 over the three-year term, on a single modern network with coverage from coast to coast.

Corporate mobility
All the phones, tablets, and mobile plans a business gives its staff, along with the carrier contracts behind them.
Porting
