Shipping and proof-of-delivery transformation at a Toronto warehouse

By Zafer Khan, Founder ยท Updated July 3, 2026

We transformed a Toronto warehouse shipping operation, replacing slow manual paperwork and unreliable proof of delivery with a connected digital process that cut days out of invoicing and saved roughly $500,000 a year.

The problem

Shipping ran on manual paperwork. Proof of delivery was unreliable, and it took two to three days for a completed delivery to reach invoicing. Missing or disputed loads were hard to trace, which put inventory and revenue at risk.

What we did

We transformed truck loading, load tallying, and proof of delivery into one connected digital process, replacing the paper trail with reliable, traceable records. Invoicing that once waited days could begin right after delivery, disputed and missing loads became far easier to settle, and the operation saw roughly $500,000 a year in savings. It covered the truck operators, helpers, and dock workers at the Toronto operation and was built as a first phase, designed to extend to further sites later.

This project is described by what it does, not by who it was for. We do not name the client or share private details.

The work was a transformation of how a Toronto operation shipped its product, not a single software install. We moved truck loading, load tallying, and proof of delivery off manual paperwork and onto one connected digital process, so a completed delivery could reach invoicing in minutes instead of days, and every load could be traced and trusted.

We led it end to end for the truck operators, helpers, and dock workers at the Toronto operation, and built it as a first phase designed to extend to further sites later, always in plain language for the people who would use it every day.

Proof of delivery
A reliable record that a shipment actually arrived and was received, so deliveries can be trusted and billed without disputes.
Load tallying
Counting and recording exactly what goes onto each truck, so nothing is lost or unaccounted for between the dock and the customer.
